About Owen Public Strategies

Owen Public Strategies is a full-service communications and public relations firm based in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 2019, we work with our clients to build strategic plans and communicate winning messages to their target audiences–whether it’s policymakers, grassroots activists, grasstops influencers, the media, or all of the above. Formerly the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Tennessee House Speaker, Founder Kara Owen has over a decade of communications and political experience. She previously worked as Press Secretary of the Tennessee House Republican Caucus, and has managed or advised numerous political campaigns across the state. Kara received her B.S. in Communications from Middle Tennessee State University. She lives in Nashville with her husband, Justin, and their dog, Henry.
